Taking that morning walk down the hall, you’re almost guaranteed to see someone rockin’ an old fashion trend without even knowing it. From brands such as Champion to Vans, GW is swarming with iconic pieces that can date back as far as the 1920’s. As almost all trends seem to do, different brands have been making a comeback, with Champion and Vans being some of the latest.

Champion, as we all know it, has made its return. From the student at the locker next to yours, to a celebrity’s post on Instagram, Champion has made its way back into the fashion world. This brand in particular goes way back to the 20’s as it was established by the Feinbloom brothers in 1919. Considering the brand was founded way past our memory, it wasn’t until the early 90’s that Champion became popular. Now, almost 30 years later, Champion clothing and footwear are everywhere, and the brand no longer represents the cheap sneakers your parents bought you to play in the mud.

Another brand that has also seemed to make its comeback, are Vans. Although these shoes never really went out of style, they seem to only get more and more popular. Founded in 1966 by brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren, as well as partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia, Vans was officially open for business. This now popular skater shoe has had its popularity ups and downs over the years, but this time it seems like the brand is here to stay. Vans have evolved since they were first brought up. Classic designs showcased canvas shoes with a sticky sole, that was not originally targeted at skaters, but the general public. The sticky soles and rugged design attracted skaters, and added to the later amendments of the shoe. However, the shoe we now know doesn’t differ much from its original design, as the brand is known for canvas skater shoes. Being that Vans can be spotted everywhere nowadays, it might be safe to say that this brand has made its comeback.

Overall, next time you’re walking over to your next class, make sure to be on the lookout for one of these brands, as schools always seem to be swarming with the latest trends.
