Narrated by four different people, the book discusses the unknown tragedies and events of World War Ⅱ, one of the more major ones being the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff. Almost everyone knows the Titanic to be the largest shipwreck in history, but the Wilhelm was actually larger, and that is why this novel is so important. It brings to light forgotten but important events in an interesting way with characters you will fall in love with.
