Emma Charles, Staff Writer

The 86th annual Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony was lit for the first time on Wednesday, November 28 at Rockefeller Plaza. Thousands of people crowded the sidewalks while millions broadcast this event at home. The tree will remain lit and on display between West 48th and 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues for people to come visit. It can be visited now from 5:30am to 11:30pm up until January 7. On Christmas day, the lights remain on and will shine for a full 24 hours.
