Wayne’s George Washington Middle School has returned with its annual school play this year. This year, the show that the Drama Club will be performing is Willy Wonka, Jr. based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Mrs. Medley and the cast have already started preparations and practices after school and singing during the day for the leads. Willy Wonka will be played by eighth grader Tyler Leu, and Charlie will be sixth grader Dylan O’Melia. The dates of the play’s showings will be March 24 and March 25. Drama club members will be able to sell tickets to family and friends before the rest of the school, and the remaining tickets will also be sold. Tickets will be able to be purchased during recess by all students the week leading up to the performances.
