The Wizard of Oz

The George Washington Middle School Drama Club Production of 2019 was “The Wizard of Oz”. The entire cast, stage crew, and all of the teachers made the show possible and it came out amazing. The actors new their lines perfectly and everyone who sang had beautiful voices. All of the acting, singing, and dancing were on point and there weren’t any mistakes. The show included songs from the original movie, and some additional ones. Every night sold out of tickets very quickly and there were no empty seats in the auditorium.

All of the bright props and costumes made the show very entertaining to watch and every person on stage knew exactly what to do. There were also a lot of special effects like the tornado, background music, and the scene with the Wizard of Oz, that looked incredible from the audience. The actors were really into character and they made it so fun to watch. There were so many students that took part in the show and each one of them put in a bunch of hard work and effort to make the show perfect. They practiced and worked on the show from about December to March and in those four months they put it all together. The actual shows were performed in March to show the teachers and students what an amazing job they did.

The stage crew also played a very crucial role in the show. The people in set design made props and sets while the stage crew controlled the show with lights, the curtain, moving props, etc.

Overall, all of the people that were involved did a great job because the production turned out excellent!
