Taylor Swift is going home happy. The popular music star exited the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on November 24th with 6 awards out of her 6 nominations. That’s right. She won every award she was nominated for, including Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video for “You Need To Calm Down,” and Favorite Female Artist among others. She was also honored with the Artist of the Decade award and performed a medley of some of her songs such as “Lover,” “Love Story,” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Other big winners that night were Post Malone, winning Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop for “Hollywood’s Bleeding” and Billie Ellish winning New Artist of The Year and Favorite Artist- Alternative Rock.  Another big winner was Korean pop group BTS with Tour of the Year, Favorite Social Artist, and Favorite Duo or Group- Pop/Rock.

Other performers that night were Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello with “Señorita” and Halsey with “Graveyard,” as well as Dua Lipa with “Don’t Start Now.”

Overall, Taylor Swift really did win big this year as she surpassed Micheal Jackson to become the most-awarded artist in the history of the AMA’s, with 29 lifetime awards compared to Jackson’s 24. Who knows? Maybe ten years from now at the AMA’s, Billie Ellish will take home Artist of the Decade and surpass Taylor for the most-awarded artist.  With music, you never really know.
